This was the angel that poured
His tears on my verses!

This angel with wings of stone
And body of flesh,
Such black eyes like the night
Comes bringing the message
About the mysteries and travel
That I do in my thoughts.

His highest flights across the world
Thus reveal
The deepest secrets.

And certainly in the highest
His glory is mixed
With the brightness of the moon
And with the blessings of the Eternal God!
