Behind the Glass

"Behind the glass," describes the expression I saw in the eyes of a girl who, being ill, terminally ill, could not leave the house, every day she sat at the window to watch the street and I watched her eyes accompanying the movement of what was happening. In the window there was a dream filter hanging, I knew from her mother that she had nightmares constantly and believed that the filter diminished the feeling of fear of death.
