River spring

A member of a group asked me to explain the meaning of the poem, so I decided to share it with you. It is a simple poem, narrates the dynamics of a river, from the source to its drainage in the sea. In a figurative sense, the human trajectory on earth, from birth, the impact with the environment, the discomfort to adaptation, the relationships that are established in this journey, cause tears and joys. Representing the strongest and most social problems are the expression of greed and inequality, when the gems and gold are mentioned, these are the points that refer more specifically to the tears shed by Africa in the garland of precious stones and by the Latin Americans, due to the gold mining, the exploitation of the people and their suffering. The tears that join the water of the river represent the suffering of these peoples, due to greed, and the continuity of the waters in direction to the sea represent that even with its taste altered by the tears the life follows its course and the sufferings are behind. The continuity of the river's path to join a larger whole represents death, or a passage from this physical to the spiritual state, breaking the connection that has been maintained throughout the course of earthly life.
